"I am passionate about human potential and the ability we have to heal, both mind and body"
Danielle Aitken

As a highly experienced nurse and midwife, I spent over twenty years working at the cutting edge of IVF in Australia.

Now, a Counsellor and Clinical Hypnotherapist, running a successful private practice in rural Victoria,  I assist people to move through trauma and crisis by discovering their inner strengths.
I am also the National President of The Australian Hypnotherapists' Association, and I am passionate about empowering people to achieve their goals and reach their true potential by working with the principles that are explored in many of my books.

My stories are designed to educate and create awareness about very serious topics. I choose to use the power of the written word to create a vehicle in which to carry these important messages, and in doing so, create needed conversations.

Since writing my first novel; SARAH’S STORY, I have also written : THE RIPPLES; a sensitively gripping account of one families' experience of suicide and the relentless, ever-present, damaging ripples created on not only a family in crisis, but an entire community and beyond, as they each seek to make sense of the unthinkable.
The purpose of writing these books is to shine a healing light of hope in the darkness that illuminates possibilities, highlighting that sometimes unexpected outcomes can be born out of the deepest despair, and each and every experience can provide us with valuable wisdom from which to create a new beginning.

My most recent book The Health and Happiness Handbook and its accompanying Companion Journal are also written to assist people to discover their ability to create positive changes in their own lives.

I know that you will find value in these books, as many before you have.

Kindest Regards
Danielle
